First, I want to apologize to you for taking so long to answer you. I know you overthink everything and are probably about to lose your mind right now. But I had to think through everything. I had to write out my reply and read through it about a thousand times. I hope you don't mind, I asked Jonne for his advice and he told me I should be completely open and honest with you. And I decided he was right. So here goes: I had always hoped this day would come, but never dared to believe it would, so now that it has, I'm totally shocked and completely unprepared. I've been sitting here thinking about a lot of things. What my parents and family would think. What it could potentially do to our careers. What this would mean for the future. If I'm going to be with you, I'm never going to be able to have kids. There's never going to be Lauri Jr. running around, and Mrs. Markkula will never be in the kitchen cooking breakfast, because there will never be a Mrs. Markkula. But then I realized that if I could be with you, that thought didn't really bother me so much. That the mere idea of waking up next to you makes my heart race. So I guess I love you too. I mean, I'd never really thought about you in 'that way' before, to be honest, but now that I've stopped and really thought about it, I realize that I was stupid to not see how I felt before.
